Spisani Art was founded in 1972 in the ancient caves of the family mansion in Recanati. During the following year the production increased and the company moved to Stellata di Bondeno, in the antique palace of Villa Spisani, which became its headquarter. Those were the years when interior design industry was esperiencing an increase never seen before. During the 90s, together with the success of the first collection and the introduction of the Sales Manager Florian Patscheider, Spisani created a firm for the items’ production and realisation right next to the headquarter in Stellata, consolidating its position in high quality craftsmanship entirely handmade in Italy. After some years characterised by international colaborations (among the others: Germany, France, United Arab Emirates and United States of America) Spisani suffered two setbacks: In 2012 when the big earthquake that struck on 29th May in Emilia Romagna seriously damaged Villa Spisani, taking away the possibility to have a Showroom, and with a massive blaze in 2015 that destroyed the factory and, by doing so, putted a huge strain on the whole activity. In spite of these drawbacks, Spisani moved back to Recanati and kept producing. Now, in 2021, we’re ready to head back in our beloved historic headquarter in Stellata: Villa Spisani.
